Brazil.
The dense tropical rainforest (
Floresta Ombrófila Densa) is an evergreen,
subtropical
and
tropical,
sometimes also called ombrophilous or moist broadleaf forest that occurs
along the slopes of the
Serra do Mar
sea mountain chain.
The open tropical rainforest (
Floresta Ombrófila Aberta) is a transitional rainforest ecosystem
that connects the
Amazon and the
Atlantic Rainforest.
The mixed tropical rainforest ecosystem (
Floresta Ombrófila Mista), also called
araucária forest occurs mainly in the state of
Paraná.
