Rainforest Trails

german    spanish    portuguese
The rainforest trails of the Bocaina National Park are located in the submontane, montane and high montane altitudinal zone between sea level and 2.200 m with walking times between 2 and 6 hours. They are mostly historical trails that were opened during the 15th century by the Indians and utilized during the 17th and 18th century for gold, precious stones and later coffee transport from the upper Paraíba Valley to the ports of Mambucaba and Paraty (see guided tours).
