The Intervales State Park is an Integral Protection Conservation Unit of the Atlantic Rainforest Southeast Reserves World Heritage Site and part of the Mata Atlântica Biosphere Reserve in the state of São Paulo. The park is located in the Serra da Paranapiacaba mountain range between the Rio Paranapanema valley to the north and the Rio Ribeira do Iguape valley to the south (see map).

Intervales serves as an ecological corridor between the Carlos Botelho State Park in the east and the Alto Ribeira State Park (PETAR) in the west. As its state parks in the neighbourhood Intervales contains some of the best preserved remnants of Atlantic Rainforest in Brazil.

Flora:   Key specie: palmito juçara (Euterpe edulis)

Flora:  Mammals: mono carvoeiro, macaco-prego,
             bugio, lontra, jaguar, puma, anta.
             Birds: macuco, pavó, gavião-pega-macaco,
             tucano de bico verde.
