Brazil Travel Regions - When you plan to travel to Brazil, it is helpful to divde the country either in biomes or in regions.

Based on a proposal of the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE) from 1969, Brazil is composed of five regions:


            • North (Norte)
            • Central - West (Centro - Oeste)
            • Northeast (Nordeste)
            • Southeast (Sudeste)
            • South (Sul)
