Ribeira Valley
Lagamar - Complex

The Estuarine - Lagoon Complex Iguape - Cananéia - Paranaguá, (Lagamar) describes the coastal plains of the south coast of São Paulo State (Lower Ribeira Valley) and north coast of Paraná. It is composed of numerous lagoons, ocean arms, bays, estuaries, pioneer formations, islands and isolated hills which were formed by either marine or fluvial sedimentation of the Ribeira de Iguape river.

This ecoregion is part of the Southeast Reserves World Heritage Site and encompasses the Juréia - Itatins Ecological Station (SP), the Ilha do Cardoso State Park (SP) and the Superagüi National Park (PR).
