The rainforest trails of Juatinga and Saco do Mamanguá are located in the submontane and montane altitudinal zone between sea level and 1.100 height meters with walking times between 1 and 7 hours. Most of these trails are covered by dense tropical rainforest in partly remote areas, connecting the little caiçara communities of the peninsula (see guided tours).
