Ribeira Belt

Brazil Travel / Geology - This map shows the northern segment of the Ribeira belt which corresponds largely to the State of Rio de Janeiro. Of particular interest for geological tours are the granitic intrusions of Tijuca, Serra dos Órgãos and Ilha Grande and the alkaline Passa Quatro / Itatiaia batholith.
